My sister has been asking me to come over and get some pictures of her kids but secretly I think she was dreading it because she kept putting it off! So yesterday we decided today was the day. When I left my house early this morning I could see the cloud coverage right around her house but I figured that makes for even better out door pictures. By the time we got to our location and everything in place the wind and cold had really kicked up. With Sawyer in the car waiting, the girls cried and moaned until we gave up. Just as we were safe and sound in our cars, the thunder boomed (is that what you'd call it?).
We decided we would do with a make shift location at her house. MUCH happier kiddies.....however little sister doesn't think too much of getting her picture taken and the bribes weren't even working.
I am starting to learn what works for most age groups. 5-6 year olds prefer bathroom humor and newborns are pretty happy with full bellies and being warm. Toddlers are pretty happy just being noticed and talked to, but 2 years olds I am still trying to master. Any ideas?
Meanwhile we'll have to reschedule something for Reese, hopefully before she turns 5 and thinks farting noises are funny!
About 2 seconds after this pictures was taken he pooped all over his mom!

I seriously think you are talented! You have a great eye and you are a good researcher into what works. No advice from this corner on dealing with 2 year olds. The photos are phenomenal, Kendi! Even the ones of Reese are great, as they show so much personality. (Maybe not what Mom had in mind, but very good, nevertheless.) You have a wonderful ability with "shooting" children. Advice about 2-year-olds? Hmmmmm - - Maybe wait until they're 3? Or just catch them doing what they do rather than expecting them to sit still for 10 seconds to pose?
