Isn't he handsome? I think so.

While we were attending my cousins wedding in Stillwater, Oklahoma, they had pictures taken on the OSU campus. I really don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful campus. I was so mad at myself for not bringing my "good" lens, especially when your 5 year old is asking for you to take his pictures. It was so strange, I couldn't wait to get back into the air conditioned car while he was mad at me for not taking more pictures (you can see his red little face from the heat). Now that's a switch up. Funny kid!

This poor little guy doesn’t stand a chance with his older sisters. They like to love on him a little too often. My sister kept thinking it would wear off with time but to no avail this kid isn’t going out of style anytime soon around their house. Can you blame them? I love to kiss on him every chance I get.

I honestly have the hardest time taking pictures of my own kids but I really really love how this picture turned out. Not planned, posed, or forced.....that's they only way they'll work with me. We had fun outside that evening. Love these two so so much.

One year old twins, plus a great 7 year old, make for a very great evening. Look at these twins. Could they look any different? Lucas's eyes are to die for, while personally I think Brighton looks like Tom Cruise's daughter, Suri. What do you think?

I've been on the qwest for an orchard to do some pictures. And when I say qwest I have driven all over Salt Lake Valley in search of one with no promise of ever finding one. That was until last week, when I was on my way home from running, what do you know about a 2 min. walk from my house happens to be a small orchard.
I was so excited! My running partner gladly volunteered her son to be my scout. The family that lives there said they just recently bought the place and it hasn't been taken care of so this year there won't be any apples, but they are trying to get things under control so that they will be back next spring. That made me feel better as I run by this place all the time and just couldn't imagine I wouldn't have seen the trees in bloom, makes sense now!
She was so kind and told me to come back whenever I wanted. She can bet to see more of me.

Still Alive

My sister has been asking me to come over and get some pictures of her kids but secretly I think she was dreading it because she kept putting it off! So yesterday we decided today was the day. When I left my house early this morning I could see the cloud coverage right around her house but I figured that makes for even better out door pictures. By the time we got to our location and everything in place the wind and cold had really kicked up. With Sawyer in the car waiting, the girls cried and moaned until we gave up. Just as we were safe and sound in our cars, the thunder boomed (is that what you'd call it?).
We decided we would do with a make shift location at her house. MUCH happier kiddies.....however little sister doesn't think too much of getting her picture taken and the bribes weren't even working.
I am starting to learn what works for most age groups. 5-6 year olds prefer bathroom humor and newborns are pretty happy with full bellies and being warm. Toddlers are pretty happy just being noticed and talked to, but 2 years olds I am still trying to master. Any ideas?
Meanwhile we'll have to reschedule something for Reese, hopefully before she turns 5 and thinks farting noises are funny!
